The Rev. Andrea Polvino, Missioner

Mother Andrea Polvino is a 2008 graduate of the School of Theology of the University of the South. A member of the Diocese of Western New York, she was ordained to the transitional diaconate in April 2007 and was ordained to the priesthood November 2008.

Prior to transferring to Sewanee, Andrea completed more than 2 years of seminary at Bexley Hall Episcopal Seminary in Rochester, New York. Before entering seminary, Andrea was a trial attorney for more than 20 years in Buffalo, New York. She continued to practice law while attending seminary, until she transferred to Sewanee in 2006.

Andrea is the mother of Marianya Polvino, 12 years old, whom she adopted from Russia in 1998. Mari now attends school in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Andrea is also a member of the staff of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
